its exactly 1 week into adulthood for me today!! well nothing much has changed very significantly since i officially turned legal.. the only thing that is different is perhaps my sensitivity towards the word "OLD"! i cant help but feel old.. aging is a VERY scary process for all females i guess.. especially for people like me with no bfs! i dun wanna b left on the shelf.. lol..

anw i am here to update my bday party for ppl who nv attend to know what they missed and for myself to rmb 10 yrs down the road.. haha


my chalet started on friday 14th dec.. i went to check in at ard 3pm with my mum, di, turner (kor's fren, the civil servant who booked the chalet for me) and his gf.. my 4th aunt and wei rui arrived very shortly after we stepped into the chalet.. we did some cleaning of the place and unpacking of our barang barangs..the weather was damn hot and sunny INITIALLY.. it started to drizzle at abt 5pm though we can still the sun.. dis kind of tai yang yu normally wun last very long.. so we were praying that it will stop by 6pm.. else bbq will have to be cancelled..


celine and liting reached at about 530pm.. ah gong came not long after.. by then, the rain was slightly heavier than it was earlier.. naturally my mood was dampened by the weather too.. liting tried to entertain us by showing us "magic" with poker cards..it didnt tk long for her to finish performing as she only knoe 3 different sets..


after which, we went on to decorate the chalet bcos my agenda was to finish up the deco b4 bbq.. while we were at it, my di, weirui and ah gong were outside the pit trying to start the fire already (630pm)..yea u guessed it.. the rain has somehow subsided w/o me realizing.. thank god for it.. my mum and 4th aunt were in the kitchen busy preparing the food needed for the bbq..

however, just when u thought everything is gg to be alright, something unexpected happened.. the fire cant be started for some reason.. one say its bcos of the fire starters, another one say the prob lies with the charcoal while others say its bcos the pit is wet..

imagine hearing all this sh*t even b4 the actual party has even started.. god knows what else will happen on saturday.. i dont even dare to think man..seriously.. how was i supposed to know tt the rooster brand fire starter is better than the one i bought? how was i supposed to know tt the charcoal which states suitable for bbq is not so suitable afterall.. haaa..

i mean its the 1st time i am planning such an event and i am doing it ALL BY MYSELF.. it can be torturing both mentally (have to think and think and think - i wonder how many brain cells i killed in the process) and physically (i did the shopping tog with my mum only - the many 1.5 litres of bottled drinks were enough to kill us both).. so its really nt as easy as u think.. try planning one by urself and u know what i mean..

anyway by 8pm, we still didnt manage to get the fire started.. thats when my aunt and mum decided to cook the food using the stove instead.. ah gong decided to head to changi village there to buy charcoal and fire starters.. my 3rd aunt and angel came ard this timing.. angel was damn funny as she called my hp juz to ask me to look over cos she's at the opposite bus-stop.. a while ltr, ah gong came back with a box of 10kg campfire wood/charcoal and rooster brand fire starters.. this time round, it only took them abt half an hr or so to start the fire..so it was FOOD AT LAST.. muahaha..






























okay so after bbq, we waited for nona to join.. she went to attend yizhen's surprise bday party prior tt.. actually they wanted to go night cycling but bcos the bike rental shop had alr closed.. we thought we could head to pasir ris bcos liting's bf and celine's new game mate so happened to be at the chalets there.. crashing ppl's party can be fun..


somehow celine didnt like the idea of us following her to meet her new friend.. so we had to resort to tossing a coin.. lmao.. obviously we went in the end.. it was cab to and fro.. lucky to meet drivers who are willing to take 5 gals! haha.. we met liting's bf for the 1st time but din gt to see celine's afterall.. took some photos along the way.. i was asked to do funny stunts.. abide to some which i still find acceptable but rejected others which i find laughable.. lol..























































by the time we head back to chalet, its alr about 2am.. we took turns to bathe and just b4 we turn in for the night, we brainstorm some games that we could possibly play during the 2nd night when there's more ppl who stayover.. thats one thing thats bothering me since the day i started planning! haha lights off at abt 330am but i was tossing and turning.. i dunno why.. perhaps the anxiety is making it impossible for me to slp! lol the last time i look at my watch it was 530am.. so i guess i fell aslp after that..

have to wake up at 830am the next morning bcos i have an appt with beautybox studio.. supposed to do my hair styling and makeup there b4 the photoshoot.. angel went with me while the others slept in.. celine, ting n nona helped me with the last bit of deco while i was out.. thks for blowing the balloons gals (:


more photos while i was at the studio.. the before and after.. i chose this princess hairstyle bcos i love my bangs.. nt gonna cut or anything.. for the 1st time in my life, i tried curls.. i wanted to present a brand new me or shld i say a totally different me in front of my frens.. hehe i hope i succeeded in surprising u and making u go whaooooo.. LOL else my money will nt be worth!





































i stayed at the studio for nearly 5 hrs.. left at abt 330pm.. was actually earlier than scheduled.. so we took bus instead of cab back.. all especially my mum were surprised upon seeing me.. she said i look so different.. haha.. she's just nt used to seeing me in makeups la.. lol and my dears were so busy with the balloons that they didnt even look at me when i got back.. fainted!


its only after they finished the deco that they looked at me.. haha they say pretty but blusher nt red enough.. i almost freaked out cos i thot my makeup is too heavy alr.. but i did listen to them and touched up on it later in the evening b4 i rcvd the guests..

okay i need some sleep nw as its alr 430am! do stay tuned.. story part 2 to be continued..
