i mentioned in my previous entry tt i got a cl frm gary hu asked mi to go for an interview ytd.. this gary told mi tt my sch referred mi to them.. so i assumed it was an interview for my internship programme.. tt gary asked mi my age n wat dip i m pursuing.. i thot tt was weird cos if sch referred mi to them, shldnt they haf these basic particulars abt mi?

furthermore, frm wat i heard frm some of my frens, its the sch hu contact them abt the interviews.. but mine was lyk so unusual cos the company called mi directly.. i told my frens abt my suspicions ah.. they juz joked tt it might be a scam n suggested tt mayb i cld check wif tutors.. but the thing is i dun even knoe the name of tt company so i duno how 2 ask..

initially wanted to gt celine to acc mi de.. apparently she gt some forum thingy to attend.. so the next person hu came into my mind was huichun.. but she gt 2 quizzes lyk mi e next day n she said she haven study.. so i told her its okie.. i cld get sum1 else.. so i gt shiling to acc mi.. den on thurs mornin when rui heard abt it, she said she wanted to follow also.. muahaha.. so my 2 darlings went wif mi despite the fact tt they haven study for e 2 quizzes also.. so grateful for tt!

so we had lunch at tm mac n left tamp at ard 1220pm.. went to the interchg to tk bus 10.. according to the street directory, it requires 62 mins to get to robinson rd.. budden we sat until buttocks also wanna rot le still haven reached.. finalli alighted at 153pm when my interview is supposed to b at 2pm! haha.. the worse thing is robinson point is nt within our sight when we dropped at tt bus stop opp lau pa sat..

i was frantically panicking cos we duno which blg is robinson point n the time is alr nearing.. we juz crossed rds after rds.. finally at this cross junction, i stopped a lady n asked her for directions.. thank god the blg was juz down the rd n we cld see it when she pointed to us.. so we hurried to tt blg n got into the lift.. i was damn panicky bcos it was alr 201pm! so i was like tidying up my appearance in the lift.. i was so damn nervous tt i forgot to press the lift lor.. haha

so when we came out of the lift.. wat greeted us was v cold aircon.. the lift was actualli in the centre.. so theres an entrance on either side.. there is a v big signboard tt reads venture era.. tts the name of tt company.. so i called tt gary n he gave mi the managers no.. he asked mi to contact the manager, nurul.. called her n she asked mi to wait n she juz hang the phone.. i din noe where she wanted mi to wait so we juz stood there..

den came a guy wearin blazer.. he showed us where we could sit and wait.. so tinking tt i would gt to meet tt manager soon, sl n rui left.. they said they will go shop sumwhere n asked mi to cl them once i m done..there wasnt anyone else at the waiting area.. so i juz sat there n waited..

saw mani young ppl walking in n out.. some were the staff in the company while others shld b there for job interview i guessed.. most of them were casually dressed in jeans n tee.. in comparison i think i looked v formal.. i was in black skirts, shiny pointed heels, white spag n black blazer.. sl said i looked lyk a lawyer.. haha

the staff were lyk giving forms to the interviewees to fill in.. some even explained to them wats gonna happen during the interview.. i tink i was the oni exception.. i wasnt given the form to fill in.. i thot mayb interns dun haf to.. so i din bother to ask also.. yes so i juz sat there like a fool and waited for tt nurul to appear..

as the clock continued ticking, i began to feel abit uneasy.. cos ppl hu came later than mi had all left.. i was beginnin to wonder if this is realli my sip interview.. at ard 330pm, celine msg mi n asked how my interview went.. so i told her i was still waitin.. i consulted her opinion as to whether i shld cl tt manager again..

i hesitated bcos i dun wana appeared to b impatient.. so i continued to wait.. the guy who showed mi where to sit appeared again n commented tt i haf waited for v long alr hor.. he said juz wait another 5 more mins.. i juz shrugged tt off with a laugh..

finalli at ard 345pm, i called huichun n asked her for valeries no.. i asked rui to help mi cl the tutor to chk whether tis company is in the list tt tp is working wif.. realized tt i was the oni one left there.. so after i hang up the cl wif rui, there is this guy who walked past n asked mi hu i was waiting for.. he also asked mi wt i was doing dere.. i told him i was waiting for nurul n i was there for an interview.. den he asked if i haf alr filled in the form.. i said no.. den he smiled n asked how come i nv tell him.. i juz smiled..

as if i knoe i m supposed to fill in the form.. as if i knoe i haf to ask him for the form.. zzzzzz.. so he walked off n returned a min ltr with a clipboard, a form n a pen.. he handed it to mi and asked mi to fill up the form.. rui called mi back n told mi tt mrs see had alr chked n venture era wasnt in the list! my god.. den wat was i doing there in the 1st place? i was frightened n din noe how ah.. i wanted to juz disappear liddat since nobody ard but mrs see said tt i haf to let the person noe cos its basic courtesy.. she asked mi to relac n she said they will come back n look for mi immediately.. haha..

i knew tt i would haf to go into the rm for interview aft i filled up the form so i purposely write slowly so as to wait for their return.. as i was filling up the form, this ger came n tok to mi.. she was the staff there.. she said she same age as mi also.. of cos she apologized to mi for making mi wait soooo long.. she said its due to some misunderstandin n miscommunication..

i made use of tt opportunity to clarify the position tt i m applyin for.. she told mi it was smth lyk marketing execs.. den i asked her if it was for my internship prog.. apparently she din noe wat i was talkin abt.. i even had to explain to her wat sip was.. she said she will cl nurul to check cos she nt sure.. while she was on the phone outside, my dear frens came back.. i told them abt my conversation wif tt ger..

she came back n she asked mi to wait a while.. tink she went to chk wif the manager or smth.. she returned n asked mi to go in for the interview.. she said juz go in n see wat the manager has to say ba.. i was feeling v mo ming qi miao ah.. cos i shldnt b dere in the 1st place so y bother interview mi?

in the end i juz went in to see wat the manager has got to say ah.. she led mi to the room.. the door has a plague tt says business grp manager.. she knocked and opened the door.. i stood at the door stunned for a moment.. cos tt guy who passed mi the form was sitting inside.. i thot he was juz a normal office guy in the company so i was rather surprised tt he was actualli a manager?! haha

i tink he noticed bcos he asked "very surprised rite?" haha.. i juz smiled n walked in.. he asked mi to take a seat.. b4 i could sit down, he offered his hand n said hi to mi.. its juz v informal i guess.. cos i was standing n he was sitting down n we shook hands in tt weird position.. he apologized for making mi wait for more than 2 hrs.. he den scanned thru my application form n realised tt i forgotten to sign.. so he handed mi a pen n told mi to sign..

den he said he gt a v interesting thing to tell mi.. so i was waitin for him to say but he asked mi to sign 1st b4 he say.. as i was signing, thots juz wandered.. i was trying to guess wat he will say.. mayb he will laugh at mi for being such a kuku.. budden came the most unexpected..

him: "i was born on 15th dec.. 1 day b4 u.."

mi: "haha.. realli??"

him: "yeah.. haha.. which hospital were u born?"

mi: "kk hospital.."

he was smiling to himself..

him: "mi too.. interesting.."

mi: "serious?"

him: "wat time were u born?"

mi: "eh i duno lei.."

him: "i was born in the afternoon 2 plus.."

mi: "oh.. okie.."

him: "guess how old i m.."

i smiled and said i dunoo..

him: "make a guess.."

mi: "25?"

him: "wat makes u tink tt i m 25?"

mi: "haha.. juz a guess?"

him: "i m same age as u.. borned in the same yr"

i was so bloody shocked by his ans ah.. cos he is so young yet he is alr holding business manager position.. it juz made my jaws n eyes opened wide.. for a moment i thot he might b the son of tt companys ceo or smth.. but he wasnt ah.. he told mi tt 2 yrs ago he was sitting at my position and juz within 2 yrs, he got to tt manager position.. haha.. cool rite?

hmm.. he went on to praise mi.. he said he was impressed wif mi cos i m sooo patient.. if it was him, he would haf gt angry or smth.. he den asked mi wat sch i was in n wat dip i was pursuing.. he continued to tell mi a little bkgrd info of the company.. he also said tt the company can tk mi as an intern but they wouldnt treat interns lyk cheap labor.. they will pay normal salary to interns which i thot is very gd ah..

towards the end of the interview.. he praised mi again on my attire.. he said ppl our age seldom dressed so nice for interviews.. he said its gd.. he also say very nice.. whahhahaa.. i tink i blushed a little ba.. i juz smiled happily n thk him for his compliments.. hehehehe..

supposed to go back for an orientation today at 6pm.. he told mi to cl nurul.. i juz nodded my head.. den he asked mi in a chicky manner: "or u wana cl mi?" lol.. so funni lor.. i juz replied saying: "haha.. nvm its okie" nevertheless, he took out his namecard n passed it to mi.. he said i could cl him.. whahhaa..

tt marks the end of the interview.. ended off with another handshake n he told mi tt most prob i will b joining the company.. his palms were warm while mine was cold in comparison.. haha so i could feel the warmth.. i walked out to find my frens at the lift area.. he was walking behind mi.. i waited for him to go a dist b4 telling them excitedly wat happened.. i pointed to him n told them tt he was the manager hu interviewed mi.. sl was v high also as she gt tk notice of him as well.. she said he quite cute.. haha.. i told them the shocking news abt his age.. their reaction were juz lyk mine.. they also found it unbelievable.. haha

sl snatched the namecard frm my hand to see.. i described the whole interview process to them.. i guess this interview was the most relaxin n informal one.. i totally din show him my resume n my portfolio.. haha.. my effort for mentally preparing certain qns was also wasted cos he totally din asked.. thruout the interview oni qns abt my sch was linked.. other than tt, i tink we were juz chatting..

oh by the way his name is bryan.. hahaa.. he became our topic on our way home.. i guessed getting to knoe dis diamond bachelor in exchg for my precious time or even 2 quizzes is worth the while.. lol..
